Brisbane Airport (BNE)
Travel and Ground Transport

(Brisbane, Queensland - QLD, Australia)

Allowing you to travel to and from Brisbane Airport (BNE), ground transport meets a variety of different needs. Available onsite are buses, hotel shuttles, limos, taxis and trains (Airtrain service), that is if you choose not to hire a car.

Transport at BNE Airport connects Brisbane and its state of Queensland (QLD), meaning that you can easily reach many outlying suburb destinations. Within easy reach are Chermside, Coopers Plains, Fortitude Valley, Springwood, Stafford, Toowong, Vracken Ridge, Woolloongabba and Wynnum, amongst many other locations.

Train (Airtrain)

Tel: +61 (0)7 3216 3308
The extremely efficient Airtrain service provides regular trains to Brisbane Central Station, reaching this destination in just over 20 minutes. With good connections to other areas of Brisbane and Queensland, the Airtrain network is one of the fastest way to head into the city. Additional trains also travel to the nearby Gold Coast, with this longer journey lasting some 90 minutes or thereabouts.

Buses

Tel: 62 (0)7 3236 1000
Buses at Brisbane Airport can be caught from both terminals, where they are operated by Coachtrans Australia. Travelling to the Brisbane Transit Centre in central Roma Street every 30 minutes, from 05:00 to 21:00, these buses also connect the famous Gold Coast, Portside Wharf Hamilton and the Brisbane Cruise Terminal. Those who are headed to the famous Sunshine Coast should use the Sun-Air Bus Service for this journey.

Of note, there is also a free 'Village Bus' shuttle (Monday to Friday - 06:40 to 18:10, Saturday and Sunday - 09:15 to 18:15) running between the terminals and the popular Airport Village shopping area.

Hotel Shuttle

A number of Brisbane's most familiar hotel chains offer a useful door-to-door shuttle for their guests. These shuttles generally operate every 20 minutes, although a quick phone call may be necessary to inform the hotel of your arrival. Examples of participating hotels include the Novotel, Northgate, Quality and Hacienda.

Taxi Cabs

Numerous taxis serve the Domestic Terminal, close to both the Qantas and Virgin Blue areas, and next to arrivals, in the designated ranks. At the International Terminal, the taxi rank stands on the northern side of arrivals (level 2). The journey from Brisbane Airport into the city centre lasts roughly 25 minutes. Black and White Cabs, and the Yellow Cab Company, both operate here.
